Adrian Newey to Ferrari? Is it possible?
Discussion
In his ‘how to build a cat book’ he mentioned when offered the role in the past, it was also to include oversight of the road car division too! I forget why he turned it down but I think it was down to being allowed to focus on what he really liked at RB ie the car designs but with options to look at Americas Cup etc too.
The season hasn’t started yet and there are rumours about drivers, team principals and designers moving around for 2025. If Christian Horner had done something way out of order that had brought embarrassment to the team or to him then he’d step away either temporarily or permanently. The fact he’s still there on a daily basis and denying whatever the allegations are says that it’s not a big deal. He probably upset a worker by giving an order or criticism. People are so offended so easily today. Some see a payout possible after complaining about an individual at work whether it’s true or not. Every day in media there’s some report about someone complaining about their boss being seedy or nasty towards them. If the boss owns the company then they probably stick around but in a large company if the individual is only a director or senior manager the company will remove the individual until the matter is investigated.

Literally this.Obviously he's a clever guy
I'm sure he is the f1 equivalent of being in a job your company lets you do what you want and with freedom.
The complete opposite of how I would see working at ferrari would be.

Very much this. He gets to do a lot of extra curricular stuff at Red Bull now, including the current track car project, which judging from the basic targets they've released seems to be the car he wanted the Valkyrie to beObviously he's a clever guy

A real pie in the sky option would be that he has already signed and that is why Lewis did ............
Or that AN knew about Horner and that's why he's jumping shipMassive conspiracy theory though!!
"Hello would you like to design Lewis Hamilton's Ferrari?"
"N (sees independent barrister walking up the path) Yes."

General census is that he has free reign at RB. I'm not convinced it would be a case of money to get him into Ferrari.
I shouldn't think money would be a massive motivator for him, although wherever he went he would be paid handsomely, I should imagine he is the sort of person who would relish a challenge, plus moving to Ferrari means he gets to work with Sir Lewis!Gassing Station | Formula 1 | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
