720s vs Artura
Discussion
So I went to look at a 720s at Hatfield (great service there btw) but their Artura caught my eye. It’s there demonstrator in plateaux.

Going to go Ascot to look at their saros Artura tomorrow.

Will I miss the sports exhaust and does lack of carbon affect resale?

Funnily enough I was there today and noticed this car had dropped to £140k, they loaned it too me in Feb for a few days and it was on for £160k then…getting it v hard to shift it but at that price it’s gotta be tempting. I thought it was a great piece of kit… lovely to drive, absolutely rapid and the build quality and ergonomics a step on from the previous sports series cars. It sounded ok better than I was expecting but still nothing special if I’m being honest.
they're getting very tempting now.
I'd have one over a 720s. I'd want a sportier spec though.

this is basically brand new. Black wheels need to go though! The NF one looks nice, can we place a 50p bet that you'd get it for near 140k?

Originally up for £186990 at the end of October last year, this is the main thing that puts me off this model, just keep dropping like the GT. The Record goes to the London car, been for sale since August last year, dropped £70K since !!This is the big issue for anyone buying a new one , 5k miles and 1 yr ownership from new looks like it’ll cost you £100k …buy a 600LT and it might cost a tenth of that. At a certain point the Artura is massive value tho it will surely always be worth more than a 570s and at £130k the downside is gonna be a lot less than at £230k! The residuals on these have been a shocker despite McLarens 5yr warranty from new …not sure what else the company can do tbh it really doesn’t bode well for them unfortunately. 750s has sold better but a lot depends on the Artura Spider.
296 gtb's arent doing much better on the depreciation front, its not just Mclaren suffering on hybrid supercar values.
How you view them is down to the individual, a bargain or a future liability.
Think i am in the latter and just stick to the tried and tested 2nd ice variants which at current prices you arent likely to do your nut on.

I’m with you on this Streetbeat, there going the same way as the GT price wise, bloody shame as they are nice cars to drive, as RSbandit said,, what can Mclaren do about it ??How you view them is down to the individual, a bargain or a future liability.

I think if you look at the price paid for each to drive it away, the 296 is loosing just as much money. you've also got that terrible ferarri interior to deal with also. How you view them is down to the individual, a bargain or a future liability.

I'd not consider looking at a 600lt coupe if it was the same price as one of these, just because the build quality/fit/finish/attention to detail seems to have gone up massively vs that range.
I'm really hoping the spider's drop loads as that would get me thinking about my 650s.

I’ve driven that red one. Superb.
There seems to be no end to the price drops hence I’ve not bought. Will get into one at £110k which I expect will be middle of 2025.
I think from a monetary point of view that’s the best option, although I do remember back in 2018 when I was seriously considering a 12c, a couple had just dropped to the £100K mark, Alastair Bols Bowles was asked his opinion on the future residuals, he thought they had bottomed out then but was he wrong,, I bottled it and bought a new GTR instead , lol,,,There seems to be no end to the price drops hence I’ve not bought. If it's around that it sells, and Ferrari have put 7 year manufacturer warranties on the 2nd hand stock to help reassure people.
I looked at one at £228k, with 1500 miles, and a 7 year warranty (was 19 months old so another 5 years of manufacturer warranty, and 5 years free servicing). That sounded like a bloody good deal tbh
