German road trip
Discussion
We're looking to plan a road trip to Germany. The idea is to get a mixture of roads and sights.
The Porsche and BMW museums are on the agenda, and we're thinking that the Black Forest would be the place to get the most enjoyable roads in, but I'm not sure where to start.
We're not going to head into Switzerland, due to one of us having been banned from driving there, and Austria has been done.
Happy to take suggestions on how to get to Germany and interesting routes down, we're happy to sit on the Autobahn and enjoy a high-speed run down there.

We normally go straight through France into Belgium and head to Germany via Brussels but our next trip we're going to stay in France and avoid the big Belgium cities. It'll take longer but less traffic my mate takes that route regularly and rates it so hopefully it'll be alright. It obviously depends where you're aiming for too, if it's just Munich/Stuttgart then north France into Germany, no need to go anywhere near Switzerland or Austria.
How many days are you intending to travel?
How long each day do you want to drive?
May I suggest
Day 1 Calais to Sedan (stay in the Fort) No motorway and scenic through the National Parks and a visit to the old Chimay racing circuit. 6hrs driving
