Well we are finally there - 20 degrees is forecast in London tomorrow.

We don't know where Colin is, he's disappeared before for long periods - but I thought naming the thread like this was a pleasant nod to Colin without drawing a line under him.

Of course, Colin would hate the warmth the rest of us are craving hehe

Here's to a great summer...

If Colin is miserable then I’m happy!

Not sure I see any summer yet - it’s the same incessant rain we have had here since June 29th last year.

I took advantage of a break in the deluge yesterday to try and salvage what was once a lawn but is now a swamp in my front garden. Halfway through scarifying it…. The heavens opened.

My prediction: wettest summer ever. Effectively no summer.

At least it’ll be my last in this godforsaken, sodden, waterscape.

Do you think this wet, cold, windy weather is some sort of Colin's revenge?

Thread title reads like it's posthumous.

Anyway feels warm for the first time in Macc, a rather heady 14c.

We very well might be there, but we don't know - hence why it's not the colin_p memorial thread smile

I'd venture that colin may have got binned for being a bit righty-tighty in another thread...

Only ever met him here and he seemed a perfectly rational person, NPE does seem to bring out the worst in people it seems.

Today has been love,y, and if it hadn’t been for the wind, I’d have had a lovely afternoon at the archery club.

It snowed this morning and the road into work was flooded. Then I had to stand outside all day. Terrible, 2/10, would not recommend.

I had to go and find some and am amazed! These threads are often the nicest parts of PH that said.

The weather will be very confused for the forseeable future for two reasons...

1, I have fitted new wiper blades to the car which will mean no rain.

But

2, Delivery of my new bike leathers is imminent which means loads of rain.

Ah! But I’ve just had an operation on my hand - therefore I cannot ride my motorbikes, MTB, garden, or drive. I predict 35c temperatures and blazing sun in Lancashire for the next two weeks.

Checking in on this futile thread biggrin

Actually, all doom and gloom aside, I went out this morning and it really does feel significantly warmer than it has.

Of course, as it’s getting later in the year I really shouldn’t be surprised at that, but it really has been miserable until now.

It’s still absolutely sodden, and I haven’t even yet thought about putting the potatoes or onions in, or sowing the sweet peas and tomatoes on the windowsill frown

Warmer, but windy and wet this morning here in the North East.
