I bought a certified used 2017 Jeep Patriot High Altitude - flexurbrain
I bought a certified used 2017 Jeep Patriot High Altitude with 4x4 option in January 2020. It was supposed to go through a 200 point inspection before I got it. I am a single mother, RN, and volunteer EMT and firefighter. The first blizzard it broke down, the warranty tow didn’t cover bc I live in a rural area, got it towed to a certified jeep dealer 75 miles away and they couldn’t find anything wrong. Then the back up camera and radio screen stopped working. The next blizzard it did the same thing, chugging. It is in a garage all year and I put the expensive Gas in it. The car kept quitting, the dealership kept saying “can’t find anything wrong with it”, my personal mechanic found that one of three throttle plates wasn’t working. Not covered on my warranty. I do routine maintenance, new tires and brakes, new battery, oil change every 3 k or 3 months. July 2021, brakes done on the interstate 2.5 hours into a trip to Montana. Vapor locked, had almost 1/2 tank of gas, paid for another tow. Right now, it needs a new starter already! And today it starts chugging up hills again! Baxter won’t call mr back and won’t stand behind their product or inspection! They didn’t even detail the car before they drove it to me! Gave a $50 gift certificate to Dairy Queen, I’m gluten intolerant! And it costs $75 to detail a car here!
