I highly recommend not shopping for a vehicle at Audi - alfredgperez
I highly recommend not shopping for a vehicle at Audi Tacoma. They are disorganized, racially-biased, and customer service is not aligned with what one expects from Audi. I visited the Audi Tacoma dealership yesterday, intending to purchase an Audi Q3. I was approved in advance for financing through Audi Finance and brought the approval letter with me. I have detailed below why I have recommended NOT purchasing a vehicle from this dealership based on my experience with the salesperson and manager at the Audi Tacoma dealership.
The salesperson showed me the Q3 per my request. The ones available did not have the specifications/features I wanted. Because of this, the salesperson recommended a Mercedes-Benz GLB 300, which I was amenable to but did not like after test-driving. After two hours of test driving and looking at other cars, I settled on the car that met my specifications and budget. The salesperson took my information, assessed my current vehicle for trade-in value, walked away, and returned 20 minutes later to inform me that the car had been sold. I looked at three other cars, and two were sold (although I test drove one). Before test driving the car I was going to buy, the salesperson assured me the car was not sold. Thus, when he informed me that the car was sold after the buying process commenced, I was left confused, disappointed, and trying to understand what was going on fully.
I subsequently talked to the manager, whose immediate response was not helpful. When I walked into his office, he looked at me like I was a problem and then told me while he sat behind his desk that I had an attitude. I explained to him what was going on. I felt like racial undertones in how the manager talked to me (belittling and authoritatively) and that I was being discriminated against for not being allowed to purchase a car. How can I test drive so many cars and start the purchasing process - my personal information has been provided to the dealership, I had an approval letter from Audi Finance, and my current trade-in value was assessed - to be told the car I wanted to purchase was sold? I am completely confused why the dealership did not have "sold" signs on the vehicles and why they would allow me to drive a sold car -- makes no sense to me. If I bought a car and found out that my car was test driven by a customer, adding miles to it, I would be upset. I also wish the manager would have been more customer service orientated based on my experience at his dealership. Rather than jumping to conclusions about my attitude after two hours of test-driving cars and ultimately being told I could not purchase a car from the dealership.
I have informed Audi USA o my experience. I hope you reconsider shopping at Audi Tacoma based on my experience on 7/21/2022.
